BASF‘s Pillar SC Intrinsic brand fungicide is now available in California for landscape ornamentals. Known for its broad-spectrum control in lawns, Pillar SC is now also registered for use in landscapes.

“With this exciting label extension, we are equipping California lawncare operators with not only powerful control of more than 26 diseases but also excellent plant health benefits for both lawns and landscape ornamentals,” said Jantzen Hughes, BASF product manager.

Powered by trusted, dual-active ingredients, pyraclostrobin and triticonazole, Pillar SC can be added to an existing program for landscape ornamentals whenever extra control is needed for anthracnose, leaf spots, powdery mildews, rusts, stem diebacks and blights, vascular streak dieback, root and crown diseases, fusarium, rhizoctonia, cylindrocladium, sclerotinia and phytophthora.

“We believe lawncare operators will appreciate Pillar SC because it’s fast-acting, and they already know firsthand the consistent results it can provide,” said Hughes. “In landscape ornamentals, they can expect the same level of disease control and plant health benefits they’ve seen in lawncare. Treated plants will have noticeably stronger, denser root systems and enhanced stress tolerance.”
