Phytolacca ‘Sunny Side Up’ is a solid gold leaf selection of Phytolacca (Pokeberry), which is native from Canada south to Texas. Discovered in North Carolina by gardener Robert Hughes, Phytolacca ‘Sunny Side Up’ makes a 5-6-ft. tall specimen with red stalks, bright yellow leaves, and clusters of purple berries in late summer. The foliage color is best in full sun. It is hardy in zones 5-9. plantdelights.com
