Anuvia Plant Nutrients, a Florida-based manufacturer of turf fertilizer, is growing its facility and staff to expand into agriculture, Orlando Business Journal reported.
The company is building a new $100 million production plant in Orange County, Fla. It plans to add 10 to 12 full-time, high-wage jobs by 2017 to accommodate this new facility.
Construction of a second new building is slated to break ground in the beginning of 2018. This project will cost $30 million to $50 million and create an additional 50 jobs.
The property also has room for two more facilities, which would each cost another $30 million to $50 million, according to the report.
In May, Anuvia opened a fertilizer production facility in Zellwood, Fla., where the company is headquartered. The firm currently employs about 60 people and has five open positions in maintenance and operations.
