Defendor specialty herbicide by Dow AgroSciences is now being sold alone for application flexibility, the company said. The postemergent product is designed for application during preemergent timing or in the fall.
“Defendor performs in cold weather when nothing else works,” said Maureen Clark, product manager for Dow AgroSciences Turf & Ornamental. “Turf professionals can apply Defendor in late fall or early spring and see the same superior results.”
The product is designed to eliminate unsightly dandelion blooms and control other winter annual and perennial weeds. According to the company, it has a broad application window and is effective at low use rates.
Defendor can be purchased in a 1-quart jug or in a 1-gallon “Value Pak” container with Dimension 2EW specialty herbicide.
