Arborjet added two new team members: Emmett Muennink, as Southwestern regional technical manager, and Dawn Sherman, who will serve as Midwest regional technical manager.
Both also will serve as members of Arborjet’s Urban Forest Tech Teams. The company’s regionalized and corporate Tech Teams offer access to talent and local support for municipalities, whether they are faced with an invasive pest such as Emerald Ash Borer, conducting tree value assessments, taking tree inventories or other concerns.
As Southwestern regional technical manager, Muennink will focus on Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana, and is responsible for educating, training, providing technical support and offering plant health care solutions for Arborjet users throughout the region. He began his career in arboriculture as a plant health technician for a Dallas-area tree company and managed the entire plant health care division there. Muennink holds a B.S. in agronomy and an M.S. in crop science from Texas Tech University.
As the Midwest regional technical manager, Sherman will provide customer and sales support in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and Mississippi. She has 15 years experience solving plant problems in the Green Industry as a business owner/operator, landscape designer and seller of outdoor power equipment. Prior to joining Arborjet, Sherman worked in sales for John Deere Landscapes. She is an Ohio Nursery Certified Technician, Master Status, combining her certifications in Garden Center and Grower & Landscape, and is a licensed commercial pesticide applicator for turf and ornamentals.. She earned a B.A. in psychology from the University of Cincinnati before returning to school at Cincinnati State to pursue horticulture education. Dawn holds Associate’s Degrees in landscape horticulture technology and turfgrass management technology as well as certifications in landscape design and turfgrass management.
