PBI/Gordon Corp. rolled out a new mobile app, WeedAlert, as a supplement to WeedAlert.com, the company’s online weed identification and control resource.
The app is free to downloadable from the website using a mobile device.
The WeedAlert app features detailed color photos of more than 100 weeds, allowing turf professionals to search and identify weeds by name, appearance or region. Detailed information about each weed includes description, non-chemical cultural practices in how to control the weed, geographic coverage maps of where the weeds grow and when they are prevalent in the various growing zones, as well as herbicide use and recommended control products.
First introduced in 1998, WeedAlert.com is an independent industry resource brought to turf professionals by PBI/Gordon.
