Contact BioSolutions is now sponsoring the Homestead Conference, hosted by the Ploughshare Institute for Sustainable Culture, taking place April 25-26, 2025, in Waco, Texas. As part of its commitment to regenerative agriculture and healthy living, the company plans to debut FireHawk Bioherbicide — a new and alternative weed control solution that’s beneficial for soil and friendly to people, pets and pollinators.

FireHawk Bioherbicide is designed for landscapers looking for weed control without the use of synthetic chemicals. FireHawk will be demonstrated and available for purchase at the event.

“The Homestead Conference is an ideal setting to introduce FireHawk,” says Howard Vlieger, executive at Contact BioSolutions. “This community values self-sufficiency, regenerative practices and environmental stewardship — all principles that FireHawk was built upon.”

The two-day conference, held at Homestead Heritage, brings together the country’s leading voices in regenerative farming and healthy living, including Joel Salatin, Rory Feek and Beth and Shawn Dougherty. Attendees will experience immersive workshops, lectures and vendor exhibits offering beneficial tools, resources and products for landscapers.

With growing demand for clean, soil-friendly alternatives in land management, FireHawk Bioherbicide aims to work in line with nature’s design, not against it. FireHawk leaves behind no harmful residues and begins working within hours, according to the company, making the herbicide ideal for use in conjunction with nutrient-dense food production, as well as for livestock and landscape areas.
