Strata Landscape Services, Los Angeles, acquired Venco Western, a 65-year-old commercial landscape provider serving Ventura County and surrounding communities.
Founded in Ventura County, Venco Western has built and maintained some of the region’s most recognizable public and commercial landscapes.
For Venco Western’s leadership, the decision to partner with Strata came down to alignment around long-term growth and the opportunity to build on the company’s strong foundation. For the Strata team, the acquisition represents both a continuation of Venco’s long-standing legacy and a new chapter focused on scaling that success into the future. The partnership also strengthens Strata’s growing footprint in Southern California and supports the company’s broader vision of building the leading commercial landscape platform across the Western U.S.
“We have tremendous respect for what the Venco team has built over the last six-plus decades,” said Justin Crandall, CEO of Strata Landscape Services. “Businesses that endure for 65 years do so because of a deep commitment to customers, employees and the communities they serve. Our goal is to honor that legacy while continuing to invest in the people and operations that have made Venco Western such a trusted partner across Ventura County and beyond.”
Mario Del Nagro, the third-generation family leader of Venco Western, shared that the partnership reflects both respect for the company’s history and confidence in the opportunity ahead.
“When we started exploring options for the future of Venco, it was important to find a partner that respected what we’ve built and had a clear vision for where the business could go,” said Del Nagro. “Strata brings the team and resources to accelerate growth while keeping the core commitment to our people and our clients intact. I’m excited to work alongside their team as we continue building on Venco’s legacy across Southern California.”
