Equip Exposition’s ongoing growth and expansion showed no signs of slowing in 2025.

The annual international landscape, outdoor living and equipment show attracted landscapers, lawn care operators, dealers and manufacturers to Louisville, Ky., in October.

Co-located with its partners from Hardscape North America, total attendance for Equip Expo set a record with nearly 30,000 taking part. Those numbers included double-digit growth among both landscaper (12 percent increase) and dealer (17 percent) audiences. And the trade show sold out for the fourth consecutive year, covering more than 1.2 million square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibit space at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

To top it off, Equip Expo pulled in some major recognition on the eve of this year’s event when it was named the third-largest trade show in the United States and named the “Greatest Trade Show of 2024” by Trade Show Executive magazine during its Gold 100 Awards and Summit earlier this fall.

“The show, which was recently named Greatest Trade Show in the country, continues to serve as the most important gathering for the global industry, with attendance from all 50 states and 52 countries,” said Kris Kiser, president and CEO of OPEI, which owns and manages Equip Expo.

This year’s show featured a standing-room-only keynote address, sponsored by Kress, from Jesse Cole, creator of the Savannah Bananas. Attendees opened the show with a Welcome Reception, sponsored by Caterpillar, at the iconic Churchill Downs racetrack, took in a concert featuring Big and Rich with Gretchen Wilson, sponsored by Gravely, and took part in the annual TurfMutt Fun Run and 5K, sponsored by Active Dynamics.

Equip Expo also offers attendees a broad lineup of education, including 12 sessions for landscape contractors developed and presented by Landscape Management magazine. This marked the fourth year LM has presented education at Equip Expo.

“Our education classes at Equip Expo feature some of the industry’s top minds and are designed to help attendees grow and develop their skills,” said Seth Jones, LM editorial director. “We’re honored to partner with OPEI to present these learning opportunities that highlight innovation and best practices in our industry.”
