Maruyama U.S. continues to invest in the strength of its professional network. The company recently hosted a Sales and Service Certification Class at its headquarters in Grand Prairie, Texas, bringing together dealers, distributors and territory managers from across the country as part of its ongoing commitment to professional development and industry leadership.

During the program, president Kazuki Uchiyama addressed attendees, sharing perspective from his career with Maruyama in Japan, where he worked across both engineering and sales roles. That dual experience, he explained, reinforces the company’s philosophy that understanding the needs of professionals in the field is essential to building better equipment.

“Understanding the needs of end users is central to our commitment to engineering excellence and product quality,” Uchiyama said.

Sales sessions covered key dealer support initiatives including the Fleet of Four program, 5 Day Buy Back program and 5 Year Commercial Warranty, along with the American Heroes initiative recognizing outdoor power professionals. The team also reviewed product highlights across the Maruyama catalog and presented the brand’s growing digital marketing strategy, including collaborations with industry influencers such as Spencer from SB Mowing, Maruyama’s main ambassador. Through this partnership, the brand continues expanding its visibility among landscaping professionals and the next generation of contractors.

On the service side, Maruyama’s technical team led hands on training focused on diagnostics, maintenance and repair across the company’s outdoor power equipment and chemical application products. Sessions also included safety guidance and best practices for the correct operation of the machines, ensuring dealers are equipped to support professionals working in the field.

“From a marketing perspective, bringing our partners across the green industry together for a focused day of learning and collaboration ahead of the new year is incredibly impactful. By exchanging ideas, exploring innovation and strengthening relationships before the spring season begins, we lay the groundwork for a stronger, more connected year ahead,” said Stephanie White, marketing director for Planted Earth.

“At the core of the Mariani Premier Group is a strong commitment to sharing best practices and innovative insights with our green industry colleagues and this event is a wonderful example of our commitment in action,” said Bryan Christiansen, CEO of the Mariani Premier Group.

What began years ago as a small in-house training has evolved into a fully educational, landscape architect–driven gathering and has become one of Planted Earth’s largest annual events. Designed not only as a conference but as a true networking experience, the Planted Earth Winter Conference provides valuable opportunities for industry professionals and their support teams to reconnect, collaborate and start the year strong.

Planted Earth’s 2026 Winter Conference featured speakers included Kevin Minton of Coastal Source, who presented on integrated outdoor audio and lighting solutions; Kirk Floyd of KDrone Services, who explored the expanding role of drone technology in horticulture; and Tony Kostreski of Vectorworks, who shared insights on AI-driven digital design tools.

Following the success of this year’s conference, Planted Earth is exploring plans to expand its educational offerings in the future, including a potential summer event currently in development.
