Bobyard just launched Bobyard 2.0, a major platform update that delivers faster takeoff workflows, a consolidated AI workbench and an experience built to move as fast as the estimators who rely on it every day.

Bobyard 2.0 has a material-centric takeoff experience that keeps quantities connected to pricing from the start, eliminating the need to rebuild or re-export data before finalizing a bid. The centerpiece of the update is Multi-Measure, a new capability that allows estimators to draw once and instantly generate area, perimeter, volume and related quantities in one pass — dramatically decreasing repetitive measurement work.

The update also consolidates all AI tools into a unified AI Workbench, making Bobyard‘s computer-vision capabilities more intuitive to deploy and easier to trust. A new Review Workflow surfaces confidence levels for every AI-generated output, giving estimators more control over quality before committing results to their takeoff. Additional improvements include a redesigned navigation experience, cross-page search and a streamlined path from completed takeoff to production-ready estimate — all without leaving the platform.

“Bobyard 2.0 is the platform we always wanted to build,” said Michael Ding, founder and CEO of Bobyard. “Every change we made was driven by what our customers told us they needed to move faster, stay in control, and spend less time doing work that software should be doing for them. This is our answer to that, and it’s only the beginning.”

Bobyard 2.0 is live now for landscaping contractors, with expansion to additional construction trades planned for later this month.

Industry leaders endorse the launch

The release of Bobyard 2.0 is backed by two of the most recognized figures in professional landscaping.

“I’m fired up to introduce Bobyard 2.0, the sleekest takeoff platform in landscaping. Everything just clicks now. The AI tools are on another level. We’re talking cutting takeoff time in half on real jobs. If you’re trying to level up your estimating this season, there’s nothing else like this on the market. Period,” said Marty Grunder, founder of The Grow Group and Grunder Landscaping.

“I’ll be honest, I was skeptical. But Bobyard truly does exactly what it says it does. This is the kind of tool that changes how you run a business,” said Richard Sperber, the entrepreneur behind Valleycrest Landscaping (which grew into BrightView).

Building on momentum

The introduction of Bobyard 2.0 follows the company’s $35 million Series A announced in December 2025, led by 8VC with participation from Pear VC, Primary Venture Partners, Tishman Speyer, RXR, Caffeinated Capital and Merrick Ventures. That funding is being used to accelerate product development and support Bobyard’s expansion into additional construction trades, a key milestone the company is now actively fulfilling.

Bobyard’s platform currently automates up to 70 percent of the quantity and material takeoff process, enabling contractors to reduce takeoff times by an average of 65 percent and submit three to five times more bids per estimator.
