Hunter Industries released the HPC Face Panel, a Wi-Fi-enabled upgrade for Pro-C modular and fixed controllers manufactured since March 2014.
“We developed the HPC to give contractors another powerful tool to save time, save water and protect landscapes,” said Anthony Long, product marketing manager at Hunter Industries. “The HPC continues Hunter’s legacy of water-saving innovations at the forefront of irrigation technology.”
The HPC uses Hydrawise technology to offer automatic watering schedule updates based on real-time climate data, such as temperature forecast, rainfall probability, wind and humidity. The system also delivers instant alerts to contractors in the event of a problem in the system.
No reinstallation or rewiring is required to make the switch to the Environmental Protection Agency Watersense-approved face panel. Users just have to switch the dial face panel on any Pro-C to the full-color, touch-screen HPC to be able to monitor their irrigation system from anywhere worldwide using their smart device or web browser, Hunter Industries said.
