The Snow & Ice Management Association (SIMA), an ANSI Accredited Program Certificate Issuer, is now offering certificates for any individual who completes one or more of the four courses of its Advanced Snow Management (ASM) training program.
The ASM training program includes four courses: core principals, plowing operations, sidewalk operations and ice management.
In addition, any individual that passes all four of the certificate courses earns the Advanced Snow Manager designation.
“The ASM designation is a training-based credential that helps empower professionals at the snow operations management level to highlight their expertise,” said Martin Tirado, CAE, CEO of SIMA.
According to SIMA, the designation is not a certification or addition certificate and requires no ongoing education requirements. Also, it is not affiliated with ANSI accreditation.
