PLANET to unveil new brand, name in February

|

PLANETThe Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) completed industry and member research to develop a new name and brand platform, which will be announced in late February at the association’s Great Escape executive conference and retreat in the Bahamas.

The PLANET brand is nearly a decade old. It launched in 2005 when the Associated Landscape Contractors of America and the Professional Lawn Care Association of America merged to create a national trade association of lawn care and landscape professionals.

“Our new branding is more than just a name; it is keeping us focused on the things that are most important to members,” said PLANET President Jim McCutcheon and CEO Sabeena Hickman, in an email alert to members on Dec. 12. “Over the next year or two, you will see the new branding rolled out more deeply in our programs and services, but our association will still be the same organization you have come to know and value, working hard to help you meet your business challenges. We are more committed than ever to supporting landscape and lawn care member companies and uniting and advancing the interests of our industry.”

Although the new brand will be announced in February, the association won’t begin using it until April. The new board-approved brand elements will be shared with members through toolkits, which will be available online.
