Cat intros line of mini hydraulic excavators

Caterpillar’s new E2 Series mini hydraulic excavators, including the 303.5E2, 304E2, 305E2, 305.5E2 and 308E2, contain Cat’s High Definition Hydraulic System, which provides a load sensing and flow sharing capability that allows for greater performance, said the company.

The machines all feature redesigned operator stations, which include a wide opening, a suspension seat, adjustable arm rests and an interlocking front window system. In addition to this, they also are equipped with digital control panels that have anti-theft systems and automatic engine-idle selection. The machines include main-line and optional auxiliary-hydraulic systems that both can be adjusted on a scale of 1-15.

Featuring a two-speed option, the excavators include a blade float function that allows the operator to drag the blade backwards. Each machine also includes the Cat Interlock System, a certified accumulator and a travel alarm.
