Western released a limited edition patriotic lift arm kit. The kit features a blue color, with white stars and red stripes. It is compatible with all UltraMount and UltraMount 2 series snow plows.
For each kit purchased at a Western snow plow dealer between July 4 and Sept. 1, Western will donate $50 to Camp Hometown Heroes.
Camp Hometown Heroes is a weeklong overnight summer camp for children of U.S. service members who died as a result of combat, accident, illness or suicide. In addition to traditional summer camp activities—like swimming, arts and crafts, archery, canoeing and fishing—the children also are given access to pediatric grief specialists, music therapy programs and optional discussion groups.
“The children of those who lost their lives protecting our country deserve more access to organizations like Camp Hometown Heroes,” said Patrick Dietz, director of marketing for Douglas Dynamics, the parent company of Western. “The snow removal professionals who purchase these lift arm kits will not only be able to show off their patriotism on their trucks, but they’ll also be helping a child of a fallen soldier get through one of the hardest times in his or her life.”
