The Irrigation Association (IA) elected two individuals to board-appointed, officer positions on its executive committee.
Elected to vice president was Jay Robbins, PE, CAIS, CID, TSP, who is COO of Irrigation-Mart in Ruston, La.; and elected to treasurer was Greg Hunter, president of Hunter Industries in San Marcos, Calif.
In conjunction with the officer appointments, IA unveiled the official slate of candidates for the 2013-2016 director positions on the association’s Board of Directors. They include:
- Jeff Lanahan, senior vice president of John Deere Landscapes in Troy, Mich.;
- Chris Roth, president of Reinke Manufacturing in Deshler, Neb.; and
- Eddy Santalone, owner of Atlantic Irrigation Specialties in White Plains, N.Y.
IA began an open call for nominations from the general membership in April. The Directors Nominating Committee reviewed applications and references from 12 candidates before creating a formal slate of nominees representative of the association’s membership base.
In September, the main contacts of all voting member organizations will receive an official ballot in the mail to cast their votes.
