The Perennial Plant Association has named Polygonatum odoratum ‘Variegatum’ its 2013 Perennial Plant of the Year. Commonly known as Variegated Solomon’s Seal, this all-season plant has greenish-white flowers in late spring. Hardy in USDA Zones 4 to 8, its variegated foliage turns yellow in the fall and grows well in moist soil in partial to full shade.
