Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) says its Design/Build/Installation Specialty Group will hold its Design/Build/Installation Symposium July 28-30 in Chicago, Ill.
The educational event, which is limited to 200 attendees, will feature practical applications and how-to sessions conducted at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
Sessions will include:
- The Draw to Small Spaces, Jon Carloftis;
- Enhancements: Outdoor Furniture, Lori Anthony;
- The Power of Photography for the Landscape Professionals, Linda Oyama Bryan;
- Plant Success, Ian Cooke;
- Current Technology in Choosing & Using Plants, Eric Gilbey;
- Qualifying Commercial Construction Leads for Optimum Care & Profit, Kelly Duke; and
- Lessons from the Lurie [Millennium Park], Jennifer Davit.
The event also will feature:
- a visit to Millennium Park, where attendees can discover the architecture, landscape design, and art that provide the backdrop for hundreds of free cultural programs like concerts, exhibitions, tours, and family activities;
- Round Table Time, with design build focus topics; and
- a tour of the Chicago Botanic Garden, which is situated on 385 acres of land on and around nine islands.
The Design/Build/Installation Symposium is approved for 1 continuing education units (CEUs) per hour of instruction attended.
