When the average person hears the words Augusta, Ga., they immediately think of stunning green grass. And while flawless turf has always been available to the pros, Weed Man wants to offer access to pro-level turf to local homeowners.

“We’re excited to expand our footprint into the Augusta area. Now our customers in the area get to experience the best lawn care in the country,”  said Weed Man’s John Hotchkin.

The expansion is a homecoming of sorts for Weed Man’s David Boyle, who has deep ties to both South Carolina and Georgia after earning degrees from both the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech.

And while the Weed Man name may be new to the Augusta area, Boyle and Hotchkin are tour pros in the lawn care game. They purchased their first Weed Man franchise together in 2005 and have set up deep roots in Greenville and Columbia, S.C., as well as Virginia Beach, Va.

At the same time, Weed Man has over 240 franchises across the U.S. and Canada. However, they take pride in the fact that they are locally owned and operated in over 1000 territories. This gives them a unique blend of the resources and expertise of an international network, while offering the individual attention of a family-run business.

“This is such an exciting time. We finally get to bring our golf course quality fertilizer and high-end weed controls to the Augusta market, and so we’re excited about that,” said Hotchkin.
