Hatcher Landscape Partners (HLP) recently acquired GreenView Partners, a landscape services firm headquartered in Raleigh, N.C., positioning HLP well to continue expanding and deliver exceptional service across the Southeastern U.S.
HLP is a newly formed commercial landscape platform investing in and operating brands in the lawn and landscape industry. Backed by Walnut Grove Capital Partners (WG), HLP stated it aims to unite respected, mission-driven companies — including Michael Hatcher and Associates and GreenView Partners — under a shared vision to deliver exceptional service, foster strong relationships and invest in people.
The company stated both Michael Hatcher and Associates and GreenView Partners have invested deeply in their people and built stronger regional teams. The combination brings together complementary capabilities that unlock significant value for the company’s customers and its employees, including broader service capabilities and solutions, enhanced technological resources, better training and talent development and greater opportunities for growth.
The executive leadership team of the newly combined entity will support the local market-facing brands while integrating the platform behind a unified business model and culture. The partnership’s shared core values — rooted in integrity, teamwork, and excellence, according to HLP — will drive the continued strong, local legacies and reinforce a shared commitment to client service, operational excellence and cultivating a culture centered on people.

“This partnership is a transformational moment for our 600 team members,” said Russ Sneed, chief executive officer of HLP. “What makes this acquisition unique is the alignment of culture between the two companies. We are integrating two high-performing, people-first teams into one unified platform with a shared vision for becoming the premier landscape service provider in the Southeast.”
By combining the strengths of Michael Hatcher and Associates and GreenView Partners, HLP aims to expand each market’s capabilities, improve responsiveness and resources and enhance quality and innovation, all while preserving the trusted local teams.
“We built GreenView on a foundation of service, relationships and care for our people. Partnering with Michael Hatcher and Associates allows us to expand those values with new capabilities, broader resources and deeper support for our customers and team members,” said GreenView Partners founder and CEO Darrin Hockstra, who will now serve as chief operating officer of HLP.

Sneed and Hockstra, together with HLP’s chief financial officer, Chris Hoshell, and the broader executive leadership team, stated they will drive integration, build out the unified platform and guide the company’s strategic direction while maintaining the personal service and quality that define both companies.
“This acquisition marks an important step in HLP’s growth strategy and reflects the type of investment we champion at Walnut Grove — partnering with exceptional leaders who put people and culture at the center of their success,” said A Thompson, managing partner of Walnut Grove. “By acquiring GreenView, HLP is expanding its reach and capabilities while strengthening its position as the premier landscaping services provider in the Southeast. We are proud to support Russ, Darrin and the team as they continue building a market-leading landscaping platform that creates lasting value for its employees, customers and communities.”
