SiteRecon and TrueWinds Consulting launched an AI-driven tool to simplify estimating and make it available to a wider number of landscape contractors, lawn care and snow removal professionals.
The tool combines TrueWinds’ Fred Haskett’s 40+ years of experience in the landscape and lawn care industry with SiteRecon’s Estimator software. It aims to provide contractors with takeoffs, estimating and pricing to improve the accuracy, consistency and timeliness of the estimating process.
“The new tool is a game-changer for contractors looking to improve their estimating practices,” said Haskett. “Not only does it measure properties, but it also generates more accurate estimates using production rates and job pricing that factors in gross margins at a speed not seen before.”
The tool can be integrated into most business software. It’s customizable to a company’s specific service mix and pricing levels and eliminates the guesswork that often plagues the estimating process. Contractors can better manage their labor, material purchasing and scheduling processes. It will also save them time, improve margins and remove operational bottlenecks, according to the company.
“With this tool in hand, contractors can rely on hard data to create and present accurate estimates to customers,” said Utkarsh Sharma, founder of SiteRecon. “Taking Fred’s extensive experience with landscape maintenance estimating, proven production rates and layering it with the speed and accuracy of SiteRecon’s AI, makes it a valuable sales and training tool for contractors of all sizes.”
Users report that SiteRecon’s estimated production hours are within one percent of actual hours spent servicing the property, according to the company.
“Since we started using SiteRecon, our estimates have become more accurate, and our estimation process has been streamlined. This has freed up our time, allowing us to focus on other aspects of our business,” said Eric Tennant, president of Tennant Landscape Solutions in St. Louis, Mo., an early adopter of the SiteRecon Estimator.
Custom onboarding training is included with the tool to accelerate the learning process for employees and decrease the dependency of relying on one or two employees to manage the entire estimating process.
“Adoption and use of this advanced tool will embed the best estimating practices that will deliver a better end product for customers and improved financial and operational gains for the contractor,” said Haskett.
“This will also prevent a race to the bottom for contractors when it comes to pricing since everyone will know where they need to be to be profitable,” Sharma said.
