Winter Services, located in West Allis, Wis.,was recognized by multiple parties for its safety record and continued growth.
It received the 2014 Snow & Ice Management Association’s (SIMA) Safety Award, was recognized as one of the Milwaukee Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Firms and was named a 2014 Future 50 company by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce’s Council of Small Business Executives.
“Receiving these awards has been amazing and we’re very honored,” said Jay Felton, president of Winter Services. “Safety is a huge priority in our daily operations, but to also be recognized for our growth and expansion is great, too. We’re looking forward to keeping that trend going.”
This marks the third consecutive year Winter Services has received the SIMA Safety Award. All employees are required to undergo extensive safety and training programs before the plowing season begins, and all plowing equipment is regularly inspected and maintained to ensure safe operation.
Winter Services also was named one of the Fastest Growing Firms in the Milwaukee area in 2012 and was recognized as a Future 50 award winner in 2010 and 2012. The Fastest Growing Firms award showcase businesses that have increased revenue and grown consistently over the previous three years, while the Future 50 award recognizes privately owned Milwaukee-area companies that have been in business for at least three years and have demonstrated notable revenue and employment growth. As a three-time Future 50 winner, Winter Services is known as a Master Medal winner.
