Waterloo Turf, a turf and synthetic grass franchise, unveiled its franchise development plans for the United States. According to the company, Waterloo Turf is looking for ambitious and creative entrepreneurs to bring quality service to their local communities.

Launching its franchise opportunity in December 2024, the brand has seen interest with three potential franchisees and 10 units in development in Fort Worth and Scottsdale, Ariz. With a presence in Austin and San Antonio, the brand is now targeting metropolitan areas in the Sunbelt including Phoenix, Houston, Jacksonville and Miami to expand its franchise footprint.

“Turf is quickly becoming the preferred alternatives to lawns in the west and south. Our franchise opportunity has been met with enthusiasm due to this crucial need for synthetic grass in areas where water conservation is key,” said Tim Lovett, co-owner and CEO of Waterloo Turf. “We are looking for likeminded, team players who want to provide their community with a high quality, much-needed service that will ultimately free up leisure time and weekends for clients and their families.”

As a mobile brand with no physical storefronts or brick-and-mortar locations, Waterloo Turf is offering an opportunity for franchisees to enter the industry on the ground floor and capitalize on the increasing demand for sustainable landscaping solutions in the turf and landscaping industries.

Waterloo Turf offers services for residential and commercial-based projects, delivering turf solutions for a wide range of properties including luxury homes, commercially owned areas, dog parks, daycares, schools and more.

In the sunbelt states (southern and southwestern states from Florida to California) where the population and water demands are on the rise, the need for sustainable, attractive lawns that don’t require much water is paramount, according to the company. Artificial turf uses an average of only one to two gallons of water per square foot annually, compared to that of a traditional grass lawn requiring 55 gallons of water per square foot annually plus additional maintenance and pesticides.

Waterloo Turf is seeking franchisees with a “team captain” mindset and offering a 10-percent discount to owners who are ex-NCAA athletes and ex-military, according to the company.
