Vista Professional Outdoor Lighting has modified its 5006 Up and Accent fixture by eliminating the shroud’s set screw, making lamp installation faster and easier while also enhancing the fixture’s durability, said the company.
“The 5006 Up & Accent is one of our most popular fixtures,” said Cruz Pérez, vice president of sales and marketing for Vista Professional Outdoor Lighting. “Because there’s no longer a set screw, outdoor lighting professionals can simply twist and pull to remove the screwless locking shroud, replace the LED lamp, then push in, twist and snap the fixture’s shroud back into place — no tools required. It’s just one more way we’re improving our products to help contractors get more done in less time.”
Vista’s 5006 Up and Accent Fixtures are designed for spotlighting, floodlighting, backlighting, uplighting and numerous other applications. Now, instead of a set screw, the updated 5006 features a silicone O-ring that snaps the shroud into place and secures it, while a second O-ring seals the shroud to ensure potentially damaging moisture stays out of the fixture.
5006 fixtures may be mounted in-grade, as well as on walls or trees with included mounting hardware. Aluminum fixtures are available powder-coated in any of 18 standard finishes. Each comes with a factory-installed Vista MR-16 LED lamp that offers the energy savings of LED technology and the flexibility and performance of MR-16 Halogen lamps, according to Vista.
