Takeuchi‘s Central Midwest Region Business Manager Jeffrey Jacobsmeyer met with Landscape Management Editor-in-Chief Scott Hollister at the 2024 Equip Exposition. Jacobsmeyer talks about the new TB335R compact excavator and the TCR50-2 crawler dumper.

SH: Good morning, everybody. I’m Scott Hollister, Editor-in-Chief of Landscape Management magazine. It’s day two of Equip Expo 2024 and we’re visiting with our friends from Takeuchi this morning. And Jeff Jacobsmeyer is joining us. Jeff, thanks for your time. We want to talk about a couple of products that you’re showcasing here. I’ll let you at it here with the TB335r.
JJ: Yes. Well, welcome to the booth. We’re so excited. We’ve had a really, really good show here lately. So glad you stopped by. We want to talk about the TB335r. Now, the 335 is a new product for us. We have the three series. So we’ve updated our two series machines, and this is a very, very popular size. Reason being is we’re getting the work done here with an engine that has 24.8 horsepower. Okay, for those of you in the field for emissions, we all know that you don’t have to have any region or DPF, so we really like using a machine like this for this, but it has, it packs a lot of punch here. You know, you’re looking at a machine right here of 8000 pounds. And like I said, we’re 24.4 horsepower dig depth of 10 feet. You know, we all know we can dig with them. But as you can see on the end of this one, we have a post hole digger. So there’s so many attachments, but we are really set up for the multi function purpose of what those attachments can do. We have a full attachment lineup, so we want to keep that in mind. But again, we’ve done a lot of updates with this machine. We can get it in a cab, we can get it in a canopy. You can put an angle blade on it. So there’s just so many features that this new three series offers for us.
SH: And I understand over in the new product showcase, you guys have a another new product that’s your feature. What can you tell us about that?
JJ: Yes, TCR50-2. Now that is a new product force. It’s a track dumper. We’ve had some golf courses. It’s got a bed on it that actually rotates 180 degrees. You can dump from either side. So that’s really, really handy in tight spots. It gets in there with the with the tracks. It rides really good, joystick controls, nice cab, 118 horsepower. It’s everything you want. It’s kind of new to the market. So we’re real excited about that.
