SH: Hey everybody. It’s Scott Hollister, the editor-in-chief for Landscape Management magazine.
SJ: I’m Seth Jones, editorial director of Landscape Management. We are wrapped up with Elevate 2024 and we found ourselves a good spot here, largest selection of draft beers. Shout out to our friends at the Charlotte Beer Garden for letting us do this. But even though it was a half day today, busy day here in Charlotte.
SJ: I got out some classes today. It was interesting. I felt like all the classes I went to, I didn’t stay for all of them, because I wanted to see get to as much as I could. But I went and saw our columnist, Bob Mann with NALP, speaking on integrated pest management. Then went over and I saw Bob Grover from Pacific, Pacific Landscape Management, talking about climate change, which was interesting. And then I went over and saw our friend Daniel Mabe from the American Green Zone Alliance, one of the nicest guys in the business, talking about electrification and how to get the, you know, your shop properly outfitted to support battery powered equipment. You probably had a couple classes too. Would you do?
SH: Yeah, I did. I started off my morning the second Breakfast with Champions that LM was able to moderate a discussion on technology and AI, had a great group this morning, really some interesting conversation to get the day off and running. Stopped in an education session on the value of communications and the value it can bring companies relationships with their clients, so lots of good tidbits in that. We’ll share some of that in upcoming issues. And then we both ended up at the kind of closing ceremony with Lauren Sisler, who is an ESPN personality, does a lot of work with the SEC Network, and had a kind of a really inspiring story about some of her, her personal struggles in life, how she overcame them and led to the career she had. So it was great way to wrap up. And they sent us all off with some cool stuff here, gifts from our friends at the NALP to get everybody ready for next year’s trip to Phoenix. So it was good week.
SJ: Good Elevate, Scott.
SH: It was awesome. My first time. It was excellent to get to meet so many people that I’ve been interacting with through email or whatever. And good time. Can’t wait for the next one.
SJ: See you at Elevate 2025, but I’m sure we’ll see you before then.
SH: Hopefully. Thanks everybody.
SJ: Thanks for watching.
