Toro brought its four key divisions — Residential and Landscape Contractor, Sitework Systems, Golf and Grounds and Irrigation — together at the 2024 Equip Expo to highlight its comprehensive lineup of innovations including the Toro Dingo TX 1000 Turbo compact utility loader, the Haven robotic mower and more. The company aimed to demonstrate how it can holistically solve the challenges of landscape professionals, contractors and grounds crews with its robust range of equipment and services.

“From upgrading our tried and tested products to debuting limited-edition models, battery-powered and smart, connected solutions, Toro is constantly evolving to address the pain points faced by our customers,” said Tom Werner, senior director of marketing of the Residential and Landscape Contractor Business at Toro. “We’re not just showcasing products; we’re demonstrating how our integrated solutions can help professionals be more productive.”

Nearly every division of Toro presented a complete overview of the company’s diverse offerings, from the new Dingo TX 1000 to autonomous and battery-powered equipment and smart irrigation systems.

Products to address industry trends

As workforce gaps continue to pose problems for landscape professionals, Toro has been at the forefront of developing machinery to fill this gap by increasing productivity and efficiency, according to the company.

A major highlight was the new Dingo TX 1000 Turbo, designed for enhanced performance and reliability. Toro unveiled the machine on the opening day of Equip Expo with a limited edition matte black finish. The release of the limited edition Dingo TX 1000 Turbo coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Dingo TX 1000, the compact utility loader with a rated operating capacity of 1,000 pounds. The Dingo TX 1000 Turbo is the next stage in that line with a turbocharged Yanmar diesel engine and the new patent-pending Smart Power feature to maximize engine, auxiliary and traction torque.

“The 10th anniversary of the legendary Toro Dingo TX 1000 calls for something truly special, and there’s no better way to mark the occasion than with the powerful Dingo TX 1000 Turbo Limited Edition,” says Sam Dando, senior product marketing manager at Toro. “This exclusive model not only embodies Toro’s spirit of innovation as the pioneer of the compact utility loader category in North America, but also honors its legacy of redefining the category as the first to offer a compact utility loader in the 1,000-pound rated operating capacity class.”

Available in both narrow- and wide-track models, the Dingo TX 1000 Turbo is built to suit operator and jobsite needs, according to the company. The narrow-track model is 2,826 pounds (1,282 kg) and features a standard track with “B” style tread. The wide-track version is 2,911 pounds (1,320 kg).

Another tentpole of the Toro booth is the Haven robotic mower, an autonomous residential mower that eliminates in-ground boundary wires in favor of a vision-based navigation system. This innovative technology allows the mower to create 3D maps of the landscape, ensuring precise mowing without the need for GPS or Wi-Fi.

Toro also showcased its popular battery-powered Revolution Series of mowers, along with its electric Ultra Buggy, eDingo compact utility loader and a wide range of commercial-grade handheld battery tools for landscape contractors. These solutions are designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable, electric-powered equipment that rivals traditional gas-powered machines in performance and runtime.
