The Toro Company, a provider of solutions for the outdoor environment including turf and landscape maintenance, snow management, rental and construction equipment and irrigation solutions, just introduced a new nozzle for both contractors and homeowners. According to the company, the PSN+ Series nozzle, known for using 33 percent less water than traditional spray nozzles, now features Debris Guard, the company’s backflow prevention technology.
Debris Guard blocks debris from flowing back into the nozzle at the end of the irrigation cycle. This solution to a regular industry challenge reduces the possibility of clogging, providing irrigation contractors with even more flexibility when installing or retrofitting systems and offering peace of mind for homeowners.

“No matter the landscape, even in sandy environments, water will flow through the PSN+ Series nozzles,” said Peter Lackner, marketing manager at Toro. “Debris Guard builds on the unmatched water saving technology of these nozzles, providing a dependable and efficient product that both contractors and homeowners can count on.”
PSN+ Series nozzles feature patented H2O chip technology, creating a fast-oscillating spray of water. The uniform droplets provide consistent coverage with less water waste, according to the company.
“PSN+ Series nozzles with Debris Guard are another great addition to our WaterSmart products,” Lackner said. “They are easy-to-install and provide lasting performance all while saving water.”
Like other Toro WaterSmart products, PSN+ Series nozzles are designed to be versatile and can be retrofit or added to any system and any brand of spray head to provide water savings and irrigation efficiency, according to the company.
