No surprise here, the Irrigation Association is on the ball with it being July 1, the first day of Smart Irrigation Month. They distributed some useful tools this morning, sharing some ways industry members can get involved and promote the water-saving message to the public.
Here they are:
- Download the Smart Irrigation Month logo and put it on your web site.
- Customize a press release and send it to your local newspaper or television station.
- Send a public service announcement to your local radio station.
- Run an article in your newsletter or on your web site.
- Download these statement stuffers and include them in all your invoices.
- Utilize bumper stickers and labels, available at IA’s new online store.
- Petition your local or state government to proclaim July as Smart Irrigation Month.
If you’re already promoting or planning to promote Smart Irrigation Month, don’t forget to enter the Smart Marketing Contest by Aug. 30. Winners will be announced at the Irrigation Show in Austin, Texas, in November and will receive recognition for their efforts in IA press and throughout the industry (like here and here).
