The Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA), the trade association representing the swimming pool, hot tub and spa industry, gained a new strategic partner in PoolCorp. The PHTA Strategic Partnership Program creates special opportunities for companies that promote the association’s initiatives, including education, advocacy and market outreach.

With more than 6,000 employees and approximately 445 locations worldwide, PoolCorp is one of the world’s largest wholesale distributors of swimming pool supplies, equipment and related outdoor living products, according to the alliance. PoolCorp’s inventory includes a diverse range of products, from chemicals, equipment and replacement parts to construction materials including tile, pool finish, irrigation equipment and software solutions for pool professionals. PoolCorp serves roughly 125,000 wholesale customers around the world.

“For over four decades, PoolCorp has been committed to growing the pool industry through its partnerships and programs with leading manufacturers and vendors, as well as deliberate investments in distribution locations, inventory, technology and national brands to benefit the independent pool pros, retailers, builders and subcontractors,” says Kendall Large, PoolCorp’s vice president of marketing. “By aligning our unmatched distribution network with PHTA’s leadership in education, standards and advocacy, we’re building a stronger future for the entire pool and spa industry.”

As part of the Strategic Partnership Program, PHTA will recognize PoolCorp’s commitment to the pool and hot tub industry by helping them maximize brand visibility, connect with thousands of engaged industry professionals and unlock valuable opportunities. “PoolCorp’s strategic partnership with PHTA is an important step forward for the entire pool, spa and hot tub industry,” says Sabeena Hickman, CAE, president and CEO of the PHTA. “Our two organizations have a shared commitment to grow the industry, expand career opportunities and ensure safer pools and hot tubs for customers. This partnership is just the beginning of new resources and programs for PHTA members.”
