The Herring Group, led by Greg Herring, will cohost a webinar with Unlimited Labor Solutions aimed at educating landscape business owners on a process to convert temporary H-2A or H-2B visa workers to permanent employees and green card holders.

Mike King, of Loyet Landscape in St. Louis, was faced with his own labor supply issues. Through a series of attempts, he determined a way to convert H-2B workers to permanent workers with green cards. Together with Mike Mason, they created Unlimited Labor Solutions, a company designed to help other landscape companies with the conversion process to help alleviate the lack of consistent labor within the industry.

During the webinar, Greg Herring, Mike King and Elliott Mason will guide registrants through the process, the risks and the cost of the program.

Chris Trower, president of Diamond Landscapes spoke on how adopting the process has helped their business.

“After talking with the team at Unlimited Labor, it just made sense. We could help our guys get their green cards and help their families like they have helped us,“ said Trower. ”It just seemed like the right thing to do, and it was the high-road solution for our company. In less than three seasons we’ll have 30 workers with green cards and we will be opting more into the process this upcoming June.“

The free webinar will take place Thursday, March 21, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. EDT. Register here.
