The Grounds Guys of The Rogue Valley, located in Grants Pass, Ore., received multiple accolades during The Dwyer Group International Conference held Sept. 7-10 in Orlando, Fla.
Dan and Janna Reid, owners of The Grounds Guys of The Rogue Valley, received the Top Gun, Franchisee of the Year and Recruiter of the Year Awards. In additional, team member Xai Gonzales received the Woman of the Year Award.
The Top Gun Award goes to franchise owners who achieve top sales and reach operation benchmarks. The recipients represent the top 10 percent of The Grounds Guys franchise owners across North America.
“The idea of Top Gun was established by the Navy in the 1960s as a way to give training and credit to elite fighter pilots,” said Chris Elmore, president of The Grounds Guys, which is a subsidiary of The Dwyer Group. “Taking a page from the Naval Top Gun Program, each year we recognize our franchise leaders for their accomplishments and dedication to the trade. It takes dedication, hard work, expertise and commitment to reach the Top Gun goal and we are honored to have these winners on our team.”
The Franchisee of the Year Award, the highest honor for a franchisee, is presented to a franchisee who has consistently grown through proper training and management of their organization and has had a consistently high level of sales through quality, professional service.
The Recruiter of the Year Award is bestowed to a franchisee for its efforts to build a multi-truck operation. It is presented to a franchisee who has demonstrated superior recruiting skills by attracting quality people to their franchise, providing an effective training program for their people and has created opportunity within their franchise to which their people can grow.
“We are honored to receive these awards,” Dan Reid said. “We are committed to working hard every day to provide timely, courteous and professional lawn care and landscape solutions to commercial and residential clients that meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.”
Each year, one standout female franchise owner or team member is awarded the designation of Woman of the Year by consistently setting an example for other franchises through continuous efforts to strengthen and support her franchise.
“Xai deserves this award,” said Dan Reid, who nominated her for the honor. “She is very committed to the company, and always brings out the best in people. She is a true leader and will continue to do great things.”
Gonzales added: “Anytime you get an award like this it is an honor. I am very blessed to have the opportunity to work in this trade and that Dan allows me to work where I am strong. I take a lot of pride in my work here in our office and am very proud of the work we do in our community.”
