Waco, Texas-based The Grounds Guys awarded nine new U.S. franchises in the second quarter of 2013:
- Anthony Fuller, The Grounds Guys of Upper Malboro, Md.;
- Brad Ward, The Grounds Guys of Beaver Dam, Ky.;
- Corey Sedrel, The Grounds Guys of West Des Moines, Iowa;
- Gene Brienza, The Grounds Guys of Littleton, Brighton, Colo.;
- Herb Temple, The Grounds Guys of Loveland, Morrow, Ohio;
- John Beck, The Grounds Guys of Murfreesboro, Mount Juliet, Tenn.;
- Rich Occhionero, The Grounds Guys of San Marcos, Calif.;
- Richard Scott, The Grounds Guys of Winter Haven, Fla.; and
- Sean Strano, The Grounds Guys of Plant City, Fla.
The landscape management service has grown its U.S. presence to 34 states and more than 120 locations since it expanded to here from Canada in 2010. Approximately 70 percent of the new franchises in 2013 were conversions–rolling business in from an existing landscaping or lawn care business.
