Concretedonuts.com received a U.S. patent for its concrete “Super Donut.” Formed by a proprietary blend of concrete infused with fiber and green dye, the donuts are designed to protect sprinkler heads and the piping below from damage caused by mowers, edgers, string trimmers, cars, trucks, tractors and golf carts. According to the company, the donut also has the ability to withstand the pressures of a vehicle’s tires driving over it daily.
A tapered purple donut also is offered for reclaimed water project applications.
