Spring Valley hired Joe Smith as a sales manager to the Jackson, Wis.-based manufacturing company.
Smith brings 13 years of experience, derived from a number of sales management positions, to Spring Valley. Most recently, he was key account manager at Diversey, where he was responsible for creating and executing strategic sales plans and national distribution programs while leading and coaching a group of sales professionals. Prior to that, Smith worked at W. W. Grainger and Rust-Oleum Corp.
“As we grow into new channels of distribution and extend our geographic reach, it’s important to have a solid base for our sales team,” said Dave Wacker, general manager. “Joe has the drive, experience and leadership skills we need to bring additional value to our existing customers and to provide focus on new business opportunities. We are very excited to add Joe to our management team as we look to expand our business into new areas.”
Smith has a B.A. in business administration and marketing from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis.
