Site touts low prices, flat-rate shipping on parts

Contractor Supply ClubContractor Supply Club (CSC) is a membership website that claims to sell parts and tools to landscape contractors at better prices than Amazon and eBay.

The Michigan-based business was founded by brothers and “serial entrepreneurs” Brian Maynard and Jason Maynard. As former contractors, they said it’s frustrating to search online for the best prices on the parts they needed to keep a competitive business running.

CSC, which launched about a year ago, is a retailer for Stens and Oregon.

“We really did our research, making sure this was something unique in the industry and not just another gimmicky ‘price club,'” said Brian Maynard. “We are extremely confident that this is a transparent win-win situation for both us and our members.”

For $69.99 per year, members get access to a $7.99 flat-rate shipping fee per order, regardless of the number of items purchased. Nonmembers pay a $10.99 flat-rate shipping fee per order. In-stock items will ship within one business day of ordering, often faster, CSC said.

“We aim to have a direct impact on the income levels of our members,” Brian Maynard said. “We have established relationships with our manufacturers to make sure that no one beats us on prices for parts from blades to belts to oil filters.”
