Scythe Robotics released a new video demonstrating a look at M.52 — the company’s all-electric, fully autonomous mower.  The video highlights how Scythe’s innovation aims to revamp productivity, safety and sustainability for landscape contractors across the country, according to the company.

Scythe stated the video helps contractors see firsthand how the M.52 is taking on real properties, delivering a consistent sharp cut all day while cutting fuel costs, emissions and labor headaches. Plus, it shows how the mower can blend two key green industry priorities: sustainability and efficiency.

The video can be found on the Scythe Robotics YouTube channel.

Scythe has also introduced a significant new software feature for M.52 — Task Sequences — designed to take automation and efficiency on the jobsite even further.

This new capability enables M.52 to move autonomously between multiple designated Mow Zones, completing each in sequence without manual repositioning by crew members. Using the Scythe mobile app, contractors can:

  • Link multiple Mow Zones together to reduce downtime.
  • Customize each zone with unique stripe directions, deck heights and blade speeds.
  • Save and reuse Task Sequences across jobs and crews for streamlined operations.

By automating transitions and enabling personalized mowing settings, Task Sequences enhance the M.52’s autonomy and deliver measurable productivity gains for contractors in the field, according to the company.

These new features and updates on how autonomous mowing is impacting the industry will be showcased at the Scythe booth (#1105) at the 2025 Elevate conference in Phoenix, Ariz.
