SavATree acquired Pauley Tree and Lawn Care in New Canaan, Conn. The company also merged with Red Cedar Arborists & Landscapers in Wappingers Falls, N.Y. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
Founded in 1975, Pauley Tree and Lawn Care offers tree, shrub and lawn care services. The Fairfield County location will strengthen SavATree’s presence in the area.
“We’re excited to have Pauley Tree and Lawn Care joining the SavATree team,” said Daniel van Starrenburg, CEO of SavATree. “They are well known in the area for their excellent work and experienced crews, and they will be a great advantage as we continue to honor our goal of providing the highest quality service for our clients.”
Owner Bob Horan will remain with the company to serve clients and facilitate the transition.
“We have long praised the benefits of harmoniously working with nature,” Horan said. “We’re happy to have found a partner that shares the same environmentally sensible philosophy.”
Red Cedar Arborists & Landscapers will continue to operate its landscape design, building and maintenance business while its arboricultural business was sold to SavATree.
Certified arborists Michael Barker, Owen Henning and the team of specialists will merge with SavATree, providing uninterrupted service to clients.
“We’ve shared a territory with Red Cedar in New York for a long time,” Starrenburg said. “They have an exceptionally knowledgeable team, and we’re excited for years of friendly competition to become a strong partnership.”
With the merger, clients will have access to an expanded range of professional landscape services.
“Our mutual commitment to high-quality care will make SavATree and Red Cedar a great team going forward,” said Steve Relyea, who founded Red Cedar nearly 30 years ago. “Our customers will be well taken care of.”
