LAYTONSVILLE, MD — Ruppert Landscape is pleased to announce the promotion of Jason Kilmore to branch manager for the Frederick, Md., landscape management branch.
“The growth of Ruppert Landscape’s landscape management division, and our anticipation of continued growth, has both necessitated and allowed us to expand,” notes Phil Key, director of landscape management operations. “Additionally, it has given us the opportunity to promote from the talented pool of people who work at Ruppert.”
Kilmore will take over the Frederick landscape management branch, a position created by the transfer of John Harich to the newly opened Baltimore landscape management branch. Kilmore has been with Ruppert for six years and has served the company as an area manager.
“Kilmore’s strength is building strong client relationships,” says Regional Manager Doug Halsey, to whom Kilmore reports. “Jason has recently overseen one of our largest and most valued accounts in Urbana, proving that he has what it takes to manage all aspects of a branch.”
Kilmore was awarded the 2007 Branch Impact award for the Maryland landscape management branch, an award that is presented the branch employee whose outstanding dedication and contribution have made a positive impact on the organization. Kilmore holds a degree in landscape contracting management from Penn State, and is a certified landscape technician (CLT). He currently resides with his wife, Molly, in Mt. Airy, Md.
As a branch manager, Kilmore will be responsible for the overall development and health of the branch, including strategic planning, budgeting, training and higher education, and all day-to-day operations.
“Recognizing outstanding performance and promoting from within are our company’s most basic tenets,” said Key. “We are very happy that our growth continues to provide opportunities for high achievers in our company, like Jason, to excel.”
