Ruppert deems Bob Jones president of landscape construction

Ruppert Landscape, based in Laytonsville, Md., promoted of Bob Jones to president of its landscape construction division.

“This promotion was made in recognition of what Bob has done in the past and in anticipation of the role he will continue to play going forward,” said President Phil Key. “With anticipated company growth we have an increased need for additional leadership within our organization.  Bob is well respected within our company and within our industry and has been at the helm of landscape construction division for over 12 years. Bob’s new title is commensurate with the role he has been playing and I feel it will enhance his ability to act effectively as a leader within our industry.”

In this role, Jones will oversee the company’s landscape construction division, including strategic planning and new branch development, national sales, personnel development and customer relations. He directs the division’s day-to-day operations, managing four branch offices with more than 200 employees.

Jones attended the Ohio State University and has more than 30 years of industry experience where he has served in variety of operational capacities. Prior to his work in the industry, he was a corporal in the United States Marine Corp. Jones is the 2014 chairman elect of the board of directors for Associated Builders and Contractors Metro Washington Chapter. He has been with Ruppert for 17 years, and, in 2005, received the Clyde Vadner Merit Award, a top honor from the company. Jones lives in Finksburg, Md., with his wife Kara and their three children.
