Renson, a provider of outdoor living, solar shading and ventilation solutions, introduced the Zipshade XL, a vertical screen system engineered to provide advanced solar protection and wind resistance for large residential and commercial openings, to the U.S. market.
Designed and manufactured in the U.S., the Zipshade XL is purpose-built for oversized applications, accommodating openings up to 23 feet wide and 10 feet high. With enhanced wind resistance up to 75 mph at maximum dimensions, the system focuses on clean lines and modern aesthetic. Its streamlined profile allows for seamless integration across a wide range of architectural styles, from contemporary residences to large-scale hospitality and commercial projects.
“The Zipshade XL was developed to meet the growing demand for larger, more technically capable shading solutions without sacrificing design,” says Max Sebrechts, Renson national architecture and design director.
Constructed with premium aluminum components, the Zipshade XL supports both recess- and surface-mounted installations, with or without a headbox. This flexibility allows designers and builders to reduce visual impact, weight and cost while maintaining structural integrity and performance. The headbox is available in 20 standard RAL colors, with custom finishes available upon request, and the system is compatible with eight standard screen fabric options.
Zipshade XL features Renson’s patented spring system to absorb impact, enhance wind resistance and extend the life of the screen. A removable bottom bar with a safe click-on/click-off design ensures clean detailing while simplifying both installation and long-term serviceability. The system also includes Renson’s Connect and Go technology, streamlining installation with an efficient, plug-and-play approach.
