RC Mowers, a manufacturer of autonomous and remote-operated robotic mowers for landscaping contractors and more, was awarded a Sourcewell cooperative purchasing contract in the Grounds Maintenance Equipment and Related Attachments category. This allows the robotic mower company to expand its offerings to public agencies across North America.
Sourcewell, a self-funded governmental organization established in 1978, facilitates a cooperative purchasing program harnessing the collective purchasing power of more than 50,000 participating agencies. By streamlining procurement with pre-negotiated, competitive contracts, Sourcewell enables government, educational and nonprofit organizations to secure cost-effective purchasing solutions, according to the organization.
RC Mowers secured a Sourcewell contract following a rigorous request for proposal (RFP) process. This ensured compliance with local procurement requirements while delivering on value and service, according to the company. The partnership grants any public agency access to purchase from RC Mowers through a ready-to-use, Sourcewell-vetted contract, streamlining the public purchasing process.
“RC Mowers’ Sourcewell contract eliminates hurdles, allowing agencies to bypass the red tape and purchase directly from us when they need robotic mowing equipment,” said Tim Kubista, vice president of sales and marketing for RC Mowers. “We’re honored to be a part of a government contracting program that works more efficiently, provides citizens with the transparency they deserve and allows the public sector easier access to innovation and technology.”
