With a background in the green industry, Cameron Cantrelle identified a need for landscape professionals to cut down their time on vetting plant vendors.
The result: Cantrelle founded Plantbid.
Headquartered in Madisonville, La., Plantbid is a horticulture tool that allows plant buyers, such as landscape professionals, to purchase their whole plant list at one time from growers who provide their complete availabilities.
It offers the largest online database of plants nationwide, according to the company, with more than 250 nurseries selling via the platform.
Buyers search their plant list via Plantbid’s Search Tool or using the Request for Proposal Tool. Based on a buyer’s job site location, Plantbid digs through the nursery data and matches a plant list with several purchasing options.
