The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) created two new awards to recognize the skills and entrepreneurial accomplishments of industry professionals.
The Woman Entrepreneur of the Year award will recognize a female in the landscape industry who has demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and initiative.
The Young Entrepreneur of the Year award will recognize a landscape industry professional, age 30 or under, who has demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and initiative and is an example to students and other young professionals in the early stages of a landscape industry career.
“PLANET’s awards committee created the new awards to recognize the fantastic entrepreneurial spirit that exists in our industry,” PLANET CEO Sabeena Hickman said. “We encourage PLANET members to apply and to nominate their peers so that we can showcase some of the amazing professionals who are making an impact.”
Applications are accepted through Aug. 15. The awards will be presented at PLANET’s Great Escape event in February.
