The LEAD program, powered by the Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS), has opened applications for its 10-month leadership program designed for professionals in grounds management and the green industry.
The leadership program offers grounds management professionals the chance to build skills, deepen their network and collaborate with peers nationwide. PGMS has been convening industry professionals for more than 100 years, fostering education, leadership and community across the field.
Through virtual sessions, participants gain insights from industry leaders, earn CEUs and explore practical topics that directly support the evolving needs of their organizations.
Each cohort is guided by the program’s Deans of Leadership:
- Brandon Haley, CGM, senior project manager of sustainability and grounds for SSC Services for Education, with 24 years of industry experience across golf, contracting and educational settings.
- Andrew O’Roarke, assistant director of grounds at Murray State University, who has led award-winning operations and is active in the Irrigation Association and TVSFMA.
Together, these pros will facilitate sessions, share real-world expertise and mentor participants throughout the program experience.

Sessions explore leadership and communication, workplace practices, conflict resolution and mental health — skills that help position professionals for long-term success.
