BrightView Holdings promoted Amanda Orders from senior vice president of human resources for the company’s maintenance services segment to executive vice president and chief human resources officer.
Orders will serve on the company’s executive leadership team and report directly to President and Chief Executive Officer Andrew Masterman.
“Mandy is an exceptional human resources executive, leader and tireless advocate for our nearly 21,500 team members across the nation,” Masterman said. “She has made significant contributions in every dimension of human resources for this company and will be a great addition to senior leadership.”
Orders will be responsible for the overarching BrightView People Strategy, which includes talent acquisition, compensation, benefits management, career development, performance management, succession planning, equity administration, retention, training and leadership and organizational development across all BrightView service lines.
Orders started with the company in 2012 as human resources vice president. She was promoted to senior vice president of human resources for maintenance services in 2016. Orders was a key contributor to the Brickman/ValleyCrest merger that created BrightView in 2014, and has played a central role in Grow, an internal advocacy program for the women of BrightView.
HPC Fire Inspired, a gas fire pit manufacturer based in Dayton, Ohio, promoted Chad Ewing as national sales and marketing director. In this role, Ewing will lead the sales and marketing teams.

Ewing earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science with a minor in information systems from California University of Pennsylvania. He’s held a variety of roles including application engineer, marketing manager, project manager and sales manager.
Gachina Landscape Management promoted and hired new members to its executive leadership and operational management teams.
Senior Branch Manager Tyler Stocking was promoted to director, strategy and impact. Stocking joined Gachina in 2014 as a branch manager and has excelled by being hands-on leader and team member. He’ll be responsible for short- and long-term strategies affecting operations, finance and technology.
Senior Account Manager Debra Macias was promoted to associate south branch manager. She started at Gachina in 2017 as a senior account manager and earned this promotion as a highly effective leader and motivator. Her new position oversees all south branch operations maintenance and enhancement.
Gachina’s east branch welcomed Associate Branch Manager Adan Leon. He brings with him landscape experience since 2013 in maintenance, enhancement and irrigation. Leon will oversee all east branch operations maintenance and enhancement. ”
U.S. 101st Airborne Infantry Division Recon Scout Squad Leader J.D. Williams created Mohawk Outdoors, which takes combat veterans on outdoor adventures that build confidence, camaraderie and lifelong memories. Since its inception, Mohawk has led more than 100 combat veterans on fishing, hunting and shooting trips.
Williams was injured in a recon mission in Afghanistan in 2010 after an IED exploded underneath him.
“Going on hunts and other outdoor trips challenged me to adapt and overcome; there are no shortcuts whether you are handicapped or not,” he said. “I saw how beneficial it was for my own wellbeing, and I realized if there were other warriors with me, we could work together to meet our goals. This led to me creating Mohawk Outdoors.”
After learning about J.D. and Mohawk, Kioti, with the help of Life Essentials, decided to get involved. Deciding Kioti’s K9 2440 was the perfect vehicle to help the vets get back to the dirt, the company made modifications to optimize Williams’ experience while running the outdoor programs and working on his own 80-acre farm.
Remote-controlled lifts were added to assist veterans getting in and out of the vehicle and in moving from side to side in the cabin, as well as to load and unload wheelchairs and supplies into the bed. Hand controls were added to the left side of the driver’s seat along with a steering wheel adaption for use with a prosthetic. Remote controls direct the winch and dump bed, and can be used outside of the UTV.
