Bruce Wilson & Co., an industry consulting firm, hired Pam Stark. Stark, a 40-year veteran of the green industry and a professionally trained horticulturist, is the former senior vice president of ValleyCrest Cos. In her new role, Stark will oversee large projects and assignments focused on operations management, customer loyalty strategies, leadership coaching, team training and professional development. Bruce Wilson & Co. was launched in 2001 as Wilson-Oyler Group.
Ruppert Landscape added Robert Porter as area manager at the Gainesville, Va., landscape management branch. A 17-year industry veteran, Porter began his career as an arborist and, most recently, performed landscape installations. As area manager, he will be responsible for the sale, renewal and production of the branch’s landscape management work; the training and development of the personnel; and ensuring quality, customer service and customer retention.
The Fockele Garden Co. appointed Jacob Sims as maintenance production manager. Most recently, he served as a golf course superintendent and assistant superintendent. In his new position, Sims will oversee daily operations of the maintenance department, work to ensure the company is meeting its clients’ ongoing maintenance needs and provide support for other areas of the business.
