Davey Tree Expert Co. promoted Katie Harper to recruiter/trainer. A two-time Arbor Grant scholarship recipient, Harper began her career at Davey as an intern with Davey’s King of Prussia, Pa., residential/commercial office. Since graduating with a bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University in 2014, she’s worked as a plant health care technician at Davey’s Northern Virginia residential/commercial office. Additionally, Harper is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist and certified commercial pesticide applicator in Virginia.
Stihl hired Tom Scott as director of information services. Scott brings to the job 30 years of information technology experience, previously serving as the interim chief information officer for Dollar Tree Stores and COO and Chief Information Officer for Coldwater Creek. He holds a Master of Science in Industrial Administration degree from Purdue University and a bachelor’s in economics from Brigham Young University.
Schiller Grounds Care, a manufacturer of lawn and garden power equipment and the parent company of Bob-Cat and Ryan, hired Dylan Rewoldt as regional sales manager. Most recently, Rewoldt worked for a global power equipment company in the OEM sales department. He holds a bachelor’s in telecommunications and advertising from Indiana University.
ETwater, a producer of smart irrigation and water conservation technology, hired DJ Caldwell as regional sales manager for the Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming markets. Caldwell has 20 years of experience in the irrigation industry, previously serving in a variety of sales and service management positions for companies like CPS Distributors and Environmental Designs. He fills the role vacated by Bob Olsen, a founding member and the first salesperson for ETwater, who retired.
The Engines Division of Kawasaki Motors appointed Kurt Forrest as director of OEM sales. Previously, Forrest spent several years in distribution channel development for Herman Miller North America and served in leadership positions for other brands in the furniture industry. He is a graduate of The University of Michigan.
Ruppert Landscape’s fleet department hired two new employees and promoted four others.
Carlos Argueta was hired as a mechanic for the company’s Alexandria, Va., landscape management branch. He has eight years of experience in the automotive field.
Jordan Rupp was hired as a mechanic for the Frederick, Md., landscape management branch. He has six years of experience in the automotive field.
Reid Altavilla was promoted to corporate fleet manager. He has worked in the automotive industry for 33 years, including 20 with Ruppert. He joined the company in 1996 and most recently served as regional fleet manager.
Jesse Lepinsky was promoted to regional fleet manager. He has 17 years of automotive industry experience. He worked as lead mechanic at General Motors for 15 years before joining Ruppert as shop manager in the company’s Gainesville, Fla., branch.
Jeff Williams was promoted to shop manager for Ruppert’s Gainesville branch. Having worked as a service manager for a pre-owned Saab dealership before joining Ruppert two years ago, he has 26 years of experience in the automotive body and paint industry.
Vince Ridgell was promoted to shop manager for the company’s Forestville, Md., landscape management branch. He joined the company in 2014 with 30 years of experience as a mechanic.
