Ariens Co. named Ginger King president of Ariens Specialty Brands, a distributor of specialty equipment, supplies and gear through the brands Gempler’s, Ben Meadows, AW Direct, Stens, J Thomas and Bynorm. King previously served as vice president of human resources for the company. Prior to joining Ariens, she held several human resources positions at Kohler and Serigraph. She has an master’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee. Chuck Bastings replaces King as vice president of human resources.
Signature Control Systems welcomed Frank Evagues as institutional sales manager. He will focus on navigating local governments and educational institutions in southern California and throughout the western U.S. and leading a global within the engineering, electronics and technology sectors. “Frank Evagues has an extensive sales background and proven business development track record within the public sector,” said Bob Finnegan, Signature’s vice president of sales and marketing. “He knows how to navigate tricky government procurement processes to drive sales while providing tangible results for his clients.”
R.S. Walsh Landscaping, a full-service landscape design/build company, hired Luke Mancuso as a landscape designer. Mancuso graduated from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture in 2014. Prior to working for R.S. Walsh Landscaping, Mancuso studied in Portugal. He also interned for a multi-disciplinary firm in New York City.
The Davey Tree Expert Co. appointed Tim Walsh to safety manager in the corporate safety department. Walsh will work on the continuing development, implementation and evaluation of the Davey safety program. Walsh’s work will support Davey’s Road to Zero program, which is designed to improve employee safety through occupational safety and health education and training programs, monitoring initiatives and promotion of safe work practices. With 25 years of tree care safety, Walsh previously served as staff arborist for the Tree Care Industry Association and holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in urban forestry from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, and a master’s degree in ergonomics and safety from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where he is pursuing a doctorate in safety and ergonomics.
